In one of our recent full-service interior design projects here in The Woodlands, Texas, custom millwork played a starring role. From ceiling beams to butler’s pantry storage, each detail was designed with intention and made to last.
On a recent site visit to a current renovation project of ours in the Carlton Woods neighborhood in The Woodlands, we asked our Senior Designer Lauren Caudle, RID to share a little more about her inspiration behind the cabinetry throughout the home. This project is a true testament to the power of cabinetry and details — we can't wait for you to see the finished home.
“With soft, neutral plaster walls and ceilings, we knew we needed to bring in rich color, texture, and contrast to create visual interest in key areas like the kitchen, living room, and ceiling details.
We used reclaimed timber for the cabinetry in the main living spaces to add a sense of warmth and soul. And in the butler’s pantry, we introduced a pop of color for a little moment of surprise.
We also included built-in cabinet accessories that make everyday life easier, from hidden storage to specialty inserts. Because everything was custom, we could tailor the dimensions, finishes, and functionality to truly fit the way our clients live.”
