When our clients purchased this home along the Palmer Course in The Woodlands, they saw potential — a solid foundation and beautiful setting, but a space that didn’t quite reflect the way they wanted to live.

Together with Wamhoff Design & Build, our Senior Designer, Lauren Caudle RID + team set out to thoughtfully rework the home from the inside out.

From the earliest floor plan studies to the final site walk-throughs, our team led the design of every interior architectural detail. The goal was to bring in a modern organic warmth that still honored the home’s original character, but with cleaner lines, better flow, and materials that feel both grounded and refined. The result is a home that lives easily, breathes beautifully, and feels right at home in its

surroundings right on the Palmer Course here in The Woodlands.

A New Perspective on Traditional Architecture

This home already had great structure. But like many traditional builds, it needed clarity. Rooms felt closed off. Ceilings were low in places. The layout lacked the kind of natural rhythm that supports how our clients actually wanted to... well, live.

We reimagined the entire floor plan with a fresh perspective—opening up the heart of the home, widening passages, reframing windows to bring in more light and views. Every decision supported a balance of comfort and refinement, with just the right amount of restraint.

Custom Details, Designed In-House

This was a true design-led renovation. Our team created a full construction drawing set in-house—down to custom millwork, interior elevations, ceiling details, and lighting plans. We don’t just select materials; we design how they come together.

Trim transitions, arch profiles, vent placements, stone slab moments — nothing was left to chance. Every line was drawn with intention, so that the finished product would feel quiet, cohesive, and deeply considered.
