8 Storage Ideas to Inspire your Next Renovation

Color + Finishes

Whether you're spring cleaning or scheming your next remodel or renovation, we're sharing 8 custom storage solutions we've installed over the years to inspire your next project, from bathrooms to game rooms to closets.

1. Recessed Cabinet Storage in your Bathroom Mirrors

Extra storage is always welcome here! Our clients loved the functionality of their old medicine cabinets, not so much the look. Our solution was to custom design these cabinets, recessed effortlessly into the vanity mirror in our Maple Path renovation. It's seamless, functional, and a storage must-have.

2. Custom Metal Mesh Cover for your Media Cabinets

To hide away the electronics while safely ventilating this high-powered area, we created custom mesh covers for the media cabinetry in our Modern Manor renovation. Meant to be moody and elevated, the result is a custom design feature that's equally as beautiful as it is functional.

3. Floor-to-Ceiling Clothing Closet in your Home Office

From cozy clutter to functional luxury, the vision for this completely renovated Cloffice was to redefine the traditional home office, blending office, closet, and yoga room to create one space that can truly do it all. You know… somewhere you’ll actually enjoy spending your days in!

Here, you’ll find LVP, floor-to-ceiling cabinetry, custom built-ins for clothes and gym equipment alike, and a computer cabinet to house a standing desk, printer, files, and more.

4. Easy-to-Access Baskets in your Mud Room

Especially with families and young kids, making storage beautiful can be a challenge! In both our Hope Valley renovation and Modern Manor renovation, we created basket niches to hold shoes, backpacks, schoolwork, and more to keep everyday essentials easy to access, but neatly tucked away.

5. Custom TV Cabinet in your Bathroom

Hidden into the custom cabinetry, the TV in our Modern Manor primary bath is the perfect place to both hide, and be easily accessed from the soaking tub just across the way.

6. Carved out Storage under your Bathroom Bench

In our Accessible Primary Bath renovation, easy-to-access storage was key for this design. With a storage niche custom designed into the roll-in shower's bench, this primary bathroom is a place to rest and relax, and be able to grow gracefully into for many more years to come.

7. Work-from-Closet: Custom Cabinetry for built-in Desk

In need of a hidden solution for work-from-home, our Cloffice renovation features custom cabinetry built to house all of our client's needs: a pull-out printer tray, charging power, and even a pull-out monitor tray that acts as a standing desk.

8. The Tub Niche

We LOVE a beautiful standing tub, but sometimes there's a greater need for storage. To add function to without sacrificing beauty, opt for a tub niche to be built-in. This niche can then hold bath products essential for a relaxing soak.
