River Oaks Reveal: Curated Custom Furnishings & Fine Lighting
Located in the heart of the River Oaks district in Houston, craftsmanship takes centerstage at our River Oaks project with a design that boldly blends minimalism with sentimentality. Featured alongside the family’s curated aviation and automotive collection, the home balances modern lines with luxurious layers through thoughtfully designed custom furnishings, fixtures, and fine art.
First Impressions: Entryway & His Study
Among the many beautiful, one-of-a-kind pieces in this home, you'll find this larger-than-life iron door. Custom-made right here in Houston, this unique door slides open to reveal a beautiful, modern, minimal, and FUN home office for him.
One of the most special parts of this project is our clients' incredible aviation and automotive collection. Their personal collection was the inspiration and heart of our custom furnishings design, which you can see here through the custom desk in this masculine home office.
That One Special Piece: Dining & Home Bar
The true show-stopper here in this modern dining room is a tie between our two favorite things... that starburst chandelier, and that art piece! For the latter, we searched high and low for the perfect piece to finish the custom home bar. We found the answer across the world, custom made and shipped to find its home here in River Oaks.
Rest in Luxury: Primary Suite & Plunge Pool
To compliment our clients' existing pieces, we hand-made this primary suite's pillows and bedding in this stunning geometric textile. All created right here in our in-studio workroom!
Part of our scope in the primary suite included finding the fixture for our clients' plunge pool — a beautiful little enclave tucked behind the primary bath. Our goal was to find something modern and funky to illuminate this fun space!
Home for the Summer: Outdoor Living & Summer Kitchen
Summer living of our dreams! Custom furnishings, a custom-made outdoor bench, beautifully durable performance fabrics, and custom LED-lit shutters complete this outdoor living space and summer kitchen.
Tucked behind the pool, you'll find a custom, hand-made bamboo planter (made right here in our Studio!) in addition to new countertop surfaces.
Minimal, yet Sentimental: Game Lounge & Gallery
Upstairs at River Oaks is truly a testament to our clients' incredible love for fine lighting and their collected gallery. This stunning chandelier was thoughtfully sourced and carefully (very carefully!) installed to compliment both the home's modern vibe and unique pieces.
As you pass the Gallery, you'll find the game lounge.
Through a set of sliding wood doors unveils the Game Lounge — truly a space of many surprises! Here, you'll find custom built LED shelving, which houses some of our clients' most treasured pieces from their automative collection.
And, in true Charbonneau fashion, you'll also find a custom bench cushion, sewn right here in our in-studio workroom.
